How to Hang Art Like a Pro

Art informs the overall mood and vibe of most of the spaces that we create, and definitely transforms this room, which was beautifully curated by Meredith on our team.

This custom piece is on lease from Pauline Curtis and absolutely overwhelms me with dazzle in this space.

We hang A LOT of art each week, and these are some of our best tips on layout & arrangement.

1. **Choose the Right Height**:

Hang artwork at eye level, typically around

57-60 inches from the floor to the center of the piece. This creates a balanced and comfortable viewing experience. I am short, so l tend to hang a little lower.

2. **Consider the Scale and Proportion**:

Ensure the size of the artwork is appropriate for the wall space.

Larger pieces work well on expansive walls, while smaller pieces are better suited for more intimate spaces or grouped together in a gallery wall.

Breaking the rules and going VERY oversized or undersized can feel really daring and chic.

3. **Create Balance and Harmony**:

When hanging multiple pieces, arrange them to create visual harmony. Use a common theme, color scheme, or frame style to tie the pieces together, and space them evenly but closely to avoid clutter.
